The Luna Sphere asks nothing of the space it occupies except attention. A perfect ceramic sphere, finished with a surface that is unmistakably lunar — dense, pitted, and irregular, the grey-sand ground broken by dark charcoal craters of varying depth and diameter that cluster and disperse across the full surface without pattern or repetition.

Spheres are among the oldest garden accent forms — they introduce geometry into organic planting, creating visual rest points the eye returns to. Luna does this without demanding colour or pattern. Her palette is intentionally neutral: she doesn’t compete with your plants, your planters, or your paving. She completes the composition.  The texture is not applied — it is the surface itself. Coarse, mineral, and thoroughly matte, it absorbs light rather than reflecting it, giving the sphere a quiet gravity that belies its scale. Held in the hand, it has the weight and character of something geological. Placed on a table, shelf, or garden surface, it reads as an object that has always been there.

There is no opening, no function, no detail beyond the surface. It is entirely what it appears to be: a considered object for a considered space.

Works equally well indoors on a coffee table or shelf, or outdoors among plants and stones where its surface reads as a natural extension of the ground around it. A single sphere is quiet. A grouping of two or three — at different scales if available — creates a composition with real stillness.  Each Luna is individually fired — minor surface variation between pieces is inherent to the ceramic process and characteristic of the piece

“Luna earns her best moments in a planter — push her into the soil just enough to look settled, not placed. Pair her with something with large, dark leaves. Monstera, Alocasia, Elephant Ear. The contrast between the texture of the sphere and the smoothness of tropical foliage is what makes it work.”

Care

Wipe clean with a dry cloth. No sealing required. If used outdoors, surface will develop a natural patina over time which adds to its character.
