Hampi in Noir shade from Deccan Collection

₹3,400

Hampi’s widest form in its darkest shade — the matte graphite body, gloss black rim and carved Vijayanagara lattice combine into something that reads less like a planter and more like a found object. Available in three sizes: Large, Medium, Small and a 4 color pallette – Sage, Slate, Ash and Noir

Share:

While from the same Deccan Collection as Vittala, Hampi’s form is significantly wider and lower than Vittala. This means Hampi can take larger, fuller plants — it has the volume for a generous Ficus, a sprawling Monstera, a lush herb cluster.

Noir is Hampi at its most elemental. The matte stone-grey body and gloss black rim remove every decorative concession — what remains is pure geometry, volume, and shadow. The plant is not decoration here; it is the counterpoint. Choose pale, bright, or dramatically textured foliage — the composition only resolves when the green answers the dark. For spaces that have already committed to a point of view.

Large: 35.5cm dia × 26cm H · Medium: 26.5cm dia × 22cm H · Small: 20cm dia × 17cm H

Care & Drainage: Indoor and covered outdoors only (no direct exposure to rain or harsh light).  Single base drainage hole. For succulents, add a gravel layer at the base or drop in a nursery pot. For moisture-loving plants, plant directly with well-draining potting mix.  Wipe clean with damp cloth; keep from standing water and direct rain.  Decorative jute handle — lift from base only

Plant Match Note
Monstera Deliciosa ✓ Perfect Large only · 35.5cm gives it room to mean something
Caladium ‘White Queen’ ✓ Perfect Medium & Large · white against graphite is immediate
Sansevieria ‘Moonshine’ ✓ Perfect Large & Medium · silver-pale against dark stone
White Anthurium ✓ Strong Medium · formal, gallery-ready
ZZ ‘Raven’ ✓ Strong Medium & Small · dark-on-dark textural tension
Echeveria ‘Black Prince’ ✓ Strong Small · 20cm is exactly right for this composition
Haworthia ✓ Strong Small · precise, architectural, no excess
Standard green Pothos △ Possible Only if foliage is exceptionally full · reads flat otherwise
Warm, blush, or pink plants ✗ No Softness undermines Noir’s entire register

Beena’s Curating Tips

The non-negotiable: the plant must earn its place against Noir. Pale, structural, or dramatically textured foliage only — a standard green plant in Hampi Noir is a missed opportunity every time.

The Large at 35.5cm flanking a hotel entrance or restaurant threshold in Noir is a design decision that requires no explanation and no budget for anything else in that space.

The matte body absorbs light while the gloss black rim reflects it — place Noir in spaces with directional or spot lighting to activate this contrast fully.

The Small in Noir with a single Echeveria ‘Black Prince’ on a white desk is precision styling. Don’t add anything around it.

For B2B pitches: lead with Large Noir + White Anthurium. It photographs in three seconds and closes in five minutes.

Today we visited MIDORI Garden Studio, Sadashiv Nagar, Belagavi, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The studio has a stunning variety of indoor plants and an equally beautiful collection of pots—each one thoughtfully chosen and aesthetically pleasing. What truly made the visit special was Mrs Beena, the owner. Her passion and knowledge are remarkable. She patiently explained not just which plants would suit our space, but also guided us in detail about their care and maintenance, making everything very easy to understand. What sets MIDORI Garden Studio apart is the personal touch. Ms. Beena and her team even came to our home and helped us set up the plants in our gallery. Their eye for design and placement transformed the space completely—the gallery now looks elegant, fresh, and welcoming. This is not just a plant studio; it’s a place where aesthetics, expertise, and genuine care come together. Highly recommended MIDORI Garden Studio, especially if you are looking for expert guidance and beautiful greenery to enhance your home.
